Sample dialysis – accelerated & controllable

The Xpress Dialyzers are ready-to-use dialysis systems for small sample volumes. They enable very fast and efficient purification of protein, RNA and DNA samples. Compared to ultrafiltration and chromatography, the dialysis cartridges have excellent sample recovery, offer gentle sample handling and are very convenient to use.

The unique geometry of the scienova dialysis cartridges, the optimal ratio of membrane area to sample volume and at the same time a minimal diffusion path, ensures a significant shortening of exchange and interaction processes (dialysis time).

Designed in practical cartridge format, the scienova Xpress Dialyzers are designed “ready-to-use” and allow easy handling with conventional laboratory pipettes.

Typical applications of the Xpress Dialyzers are, for example, the purification of protein samples after tryptic digestion prior to LC/MS analysis or the purification of unwanted substances after protein synthesis.

The scienova Xpress Dialyzers are compatible with the microtiter plate standard (SBS) and can be used in most pipetting and laboratory automation systems. This makes them particularly suitable for high-throughput screening (HTS) or scouting experiments.

Interaction and binding studies, for example in pharmaceutical drug development or in the diagnostic determination of free hormones (e.g. testosterone) from blood serum, can be performed with equilibrium dialysis.

With this modern dialysis technology, you not only conserve your resources, but also gain a completely new quality of cost-effectiveness compared to conventional separation methods. Small sample volumes, a large number of samples and safe handling – no classical dialysis tube can compete with this.

Xpress Micro Dialyzer MD100

The Micro Dialyzer MD100, the oldest family member of the scienova Xpress Dialyzer, is suitable for smallest volumes from 10 to 100 µl and captivates with a sample recovery of up to 98%. Whether protein purification, buffering or renaturation, the fields of application are broad.

Xpress Micro Dialyzer MD300

The Micro Dialyzer MD300 is used for the preparation of small to medium sized samples between 50 and 300 µl. Like all Xpress Dialyzers, it is autoclavable and is available with different dialysis membranes of different cutoff sizes.

Xpress Equilibrium Dialyzer ED300

The ED300 Equilibrium Dialyzer has a modified geometry that is particularly user-friendly. It has 2 channels, one for sample processing and the other for buffer exchange. This ensures time-saving handling and high recovery of dialyzed samples as well as trouble-free removal of the dialysis buffer. It is designed for sample volumes between 50 and 300 µl. Based on this technology, only larger, the MD1000 Mini Dialyzer was also developed.

Xpress Mini Dialyzer MD1000

The MD1000 Mini Dialyzer, suitable for volumes between 150 and 1000 µl, impresses with its unique geometry, which enables particularly short dialysis times and is user-friendly. Its 2-channel system allows you to pipette your samples and process the buffer through a second channel. This flexibility saves time and makes it particularly suitable for equilibrium dialysis (e.g. for the determination of hormones in serum or for the production of antigens).

Xpress Dialysis Reactor XDR

The XDR (Xpress Dialysis Reactor) has a much larger capacity than its siblings. It can be used for sample volumes between 1 and 19 ml and can be placed in a floater or deep-well plate for dialysis just like the other Xpress Dialyzers. It also has a special lid that offers various connection options. This modular design provides additional flexibility in the processing of your samples and increases the range of applications. So you can not only dialyze your samples, but also ventilate or mix them.

Xpress Magnetic Mixing Dialysis Box

The Xpress Magnetic Mixing Box has been developed as an additional tool for the MD100, the MD300 and the ED300. It is particularly suitable for dialyzing small volume samples against a large uniform buffer volume. To make this faster, the enclosed magnetic stirring rod circulates the dialysis buffer when used on a magnetic stirrer.
